The Sims Legacy challenge has all sorts of rules - rules I already know I'll struggle to follow so I set up my game a bit different. Given my couple is from a 19th Century novel I considered getting loads of CC and do a historical legacy challenge but soon found it to be next to impossible. So I settled with a modern version but before I go into my specific challenge rules here's a bit about how I usually play Sims.
- I don't do vanilla; meaning I cheat because let's face it EA basically begs you to do so. I didn't even know about cheats before opening the game for the first time and there was a link for an article on Motherlode on the loading screen.
- I'm European so the very traditional American look of most of the EA created content just doesn't do much for me. Luckily there's CC and many, many amazing creators out there.
- I am (was) more a builder then a game player.
- I do mods - but actually only two. MCC and Wicked Whims. One for controlling NPC's and the other because it gives an entirely different dimension to the game.

So let's take a look at the world in general.
- I made five couples from the beginning (Juliet & Romeo, Baby & Johnny, Emma & Dex, Elisabeth & Darcy - and my main Anne & Frederick).
- All couples are created to match their book versions.
- NPC are set to Normal Life Span
- I will delete random generated townies apart from those I like.
- MCC will take care of children etc.
- Wicked Whims will take care of the drama. Let's just say that some have already proven themselves very dedicated to their partners, other's not so much.
- Every lot has been deleted in every world apart from the vacation spots. This will also be a building challenge.
As for my main family I've only got a few rules to make my game time more fun.
- Aging only happens when I say so.
- They start with zero simolions but they are given a rundown unfurnished house. Their challenge is to earn enough money to make the house into a home.
- They must have careers - and excel in them.
- MCC and Wicked Whims will provide the children, not the 'Try for baby' option.
And that's pretty much it. Perhaps I should even have called this 'Create a World' instead of legacy because what will basically be happening in this game will be me building every lot in all of the worlds while my five starter couples will fill the world with children, grandchildren and so on. Fun, right?
Next up: Anne & Frederick
